I love my burkini. Unlike a lot of the surfer rash vest and leggings. They are a far more flattering shape and most have a kind of swim dress included which is great a covering those bits you would rather not share. Women needed to have the option to cover up safely whether for health or religious reasons.
If fact you could argue this is promoting burkinis as a better sun safety/health and body confidence as many women put t-shirt and shorts over their swim wear as they feel embarrassed about their bodies, this gives a difference option.
